Titanic a Great Family Experience
photo: attractions
Walk the Grand Staircase when you visit Titanic -- World's Largest Museum Attraction.

Take your kids on a voyage of discovery at Titanic -- World's Largest Museum Attraction and relive one of the great sea tragedies of all time. The year is 1912 and Titanic has just set sail on her maiden cruise to New York City from Queenstown, Ireland with 2,208 passengers and crew safely onboard. At the time she was the largest, most luxurious ship ever built and was claimed to be unsinkable. You and your children will learn otherwise during your 90-minute, self-guided, onboard experience.

Upon entering the giant "ship" through an iceberg, crew members will issue each of you a boarding pass in the name of an original passenger. Soon, the pull of history will engulf you as you explore 20 galleries and see for the first time the largest collection of private and personal Titanic passenger and crew belongings ever displayed. Nothing you will see was taken from the wreck site.

Along the way, you'll walk the magnificent Grand Staircase, see inside a first-class suite and a third-class cabin. Visit the rare Marconi wireless room. Take the wheel on the captain's deck. Try to send an SOS message. Experience 28-degree water. Touch an iceberg. Try to keep your footing on a gradually sloping deck. See the only lifejacket on public display with proven ties to a Titanic passenger. Sit in a full-size lifeboat, hear survivors' eyewitness accounts and experience even more.
